has a position open for a
Senior CAD Designer . This position will perform the lead role for a team of CAD Designers and focus on all aspects of the New Product Development and R&D process to help create, refine, and improve products catering to the Off-Road community. The daily tasks require a creative mindset with the ability to convey a creative design into SolidWorks assemblies to be manufactured from sheet metal and tubular parts. The team lead will also be responsible for daily tasks for a team of designers working together. This is a working team lead role and requires attention to defined delivery timelines and resource management. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Be the first point of contact for a small team of designers along with the day-to-day hands-on CAD Design tasks as a working team lead.
Assist in the creation of process controls and procedures to ensure a smooth day-to-day flow through the design process.
Daily creation of CAD models in SolidWorks of parts from templates or physical parts.
Create 3D models in SolidWorks and complex sheet metal assemblies.
Process 3D scans and create 3D scanned mesh models of vehicle data to be used in the new product development process.
Work with the prototype engineering team to support new products into automation and to be manufactured.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and be a team player to accomplish the company goals and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
Self-motivated, assertive, and responsive to production metrics.
Manages complex assemblies in SolidWorks and creates sheet metal and tubular parts.
Experience and understanding of tooling and fixtures to build products in the 3D model and bring them to physical reality.
Experience and knowledge of machine work and processes for final parts.
Experience working with and leading a design team and creating drawings with accurate dimensions.
Contributes to building a positive team spirit and puts the success of the team above their own interests.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
