Summary of Key Responsibilities: Addictive Desert Designs has a position open for a Material Handler II. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefit package. This position will receive general instructions from a supervisor but will need to be able to work independently each day. This position will focus and assist in receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, and products within the facility.Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:Great operating knowledge of forklift, reach truck, and other general-purpose vehicles while performing routine operator maintenance.Work in a wide variety and range of duties requiring more specialized knowledge of warehouse plan, methods, procedures, and techniques of material handling.Record all movement of product on the appropriate forms.Label skids for shipment, checking to ensure labels used have correct Lot Number and Shipment Destination.Pick customer orders accurately, consolidate and pack for shipment using the system tools provided.Remove stock from warehousing areas, and properly arrange stock from production in the warehouse.Load and unload trucks and containers, perform physical and systemic receiving functions.Ensure all areas worked in begin and end in a clean and orderly mannerAbility to lift up to 50-100 pounds.Perform all other duties related to this department.Skill, Knowledge, and Abilities: Independently load and unload materials check, assemble, and process documents, and route materials and equipment to correct locations or storage areas.Knowledge and use of automated equipment such as optical readers, scanners, computer keyboards, to receive and transmit "pick and stow" data into a central computer.Skilled at inventory data, access materials, and fill item requisitions.Experience in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets.Able to use pallet measuring gauges and automated devices to ensure that proper height, weight, and other load and storage requirements are met.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel shipping material.Employees will be required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk and hear.Self-motivated, assertive, and ability to follow directions.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative and an overall team playerThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
