A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Taxation and Wealth Planning Associate Attorney to join its growing team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in general tax, trusts and estates, and estate planning. The candidate will be responsible for advising clients on tax-efficient strategies, managing wealth planning needs, and working with a diverse range of clients, including corporations, family-owned businesses, and private foundations. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team of legal professionals in providing high-quality service to clients with complex tax and wealth planning needs.Duties and Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel and representation on matters related to taxation, wealth planning, estate planning, and trusts.Draft and review estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies for managing personal wealth and business interests.Assist high-net-worth individuals and families in developing comprehensive wealth transfer plans.Represent clients in probate and trust administration, ensuring compliance with state and federal tax laws.Work with family-owned businesses, private foundations, and other tax-exempt organizations to address their unique tax planning needs.Analyze and resolve complex tax issues related to estates, gifts, and charitable contributions.Collaborate with other attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors to ensure holistic client service.Stay current on developments in tax law and regulations to provide up-to-date legal advice.Conduct legal research and prepare written memos on tax and estate planning issues.Requirements

Experience : 2-3 years of experience in general tax, trusts and estates, and estate planning.Licensure : Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and South Carolina.Education : A Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school is required. A Master’s Degree from an LLM Taxation program is strongly preferred.Skills : Strong academic record, with excellent written and oral communication skills.Knowledge : Experience working with trusts, estates, corporations, family-owned businesses, and private foundations is a plus.Education and Certifications

Juris Doctorate (JD) required from an accredited law school.A Master’s Degree in Taxation (LLM) is strongly preferred.An active license to practice law in North Carolina and South Carolina is mandatory.Skills and Competencies
