WORKING AT MKG
MKG has offices in NYC and LA and we are currently seeking a Senior Producer to join our dynamic team! This role is central to client and project management/oversight, requiring the Senior Producer to drive projects and processes. Responsibilities may include managing both freelance and full-time producers on a project-by-project basis, as well as mentoring Producers, Associate Producers or Production Coordinators.
Candidates should be located within commuting distance of either office and available for in person collaboration on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
This position will begin with a four month short term position before converting to full time.
Overview of the Role
MKG is looking for a talented and versatile Senior Producer to oversee complex, multi-faceted projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The SP will manage inter-agency partnerships, client relationships, and internal team coordination. The role involves balancing the teams creative vision with operational efficiency while staying on budget. The Senior producer will contribute to strategic planning and will maintain profit goals on projects by staying close to resource management. Senior Producers also share departmental responsibilities, such as process improvement and mentoring junior staff. They excel at managing multiple projects in dynamic environments, maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:
Ensure client priorities and objectives are met during production and execution.
Oversee project tracking and maintain key documentation.
Develop and manage budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure accurate invoicing.
Create and manage project timelines for seamless execution.
Lead onsite teams to ensure smooth installations and activations.
Collaborate cross-functionally to manage deliverables and deadlines.
Maintain clear communication between internal teams, clients, and external partners.
Build and strengthen client relationships by managing their needs and expectations.
Oversee multiple projects and teams at various stages of the project lifecycle.
Assist in creating and refining Statements of Work (SOW).
Manage multi-channel projects including live events, social, and digital initiatives.
Develop action plans to ensure smooth project execution across all phases.
Ensure event solutions are innovative, relevant, and aligned with client goals.
Implement Health & Safety policies during onsite execution.
Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and recommend vendors.
Manage day-to-day team delegation and project oversight.
Translate creative ideas into actionable project plans.
Create, manage, and reconcile project budgets.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure project deliverables stay on track.
Mentor and oversee the development of junior producers, providing guidance and support.
Salary Description
$95,000 - $120,000 annually
***This is the minimum + maximum base salary that we, in good faith, are willing to pay at the time of the posting. Salary commensurate with experienceRequirements:WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
8+ years of similar experience in experiential/event production.
3-5 years of experience in Managing People.
Experience working with Google Suite.
Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
Proactive, thoughtful, and strategic thinker.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment, resourceful, self-motivated, extremely organized, and detail-oriented.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Delivers unsurpassed client and customer service.

Broad network of contacts in the experiential marketing and production industries/fields.
Prior management experience, specifically managing multiple direct reports.
Client-facing role within an agency environment.
Proven track record developing and managing large, complex projects/teams.
Excellent oral/written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels within the organization, clients, partners, and vendors.
Experience developing and managing seven-figure budgets.
Ability to travel as we produce projects and events across the country.
