About the RoleThe Lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer will guide, oversee, and execute design and validation of all marketing campaigns driven through SFMC. This role requires someone technical that understands the Salesforce Marketing Cloud suite of products, with a strong emphasis on data flow architecture, Journey Builder, and Interaction Studio (Personalization). The ideal candidate for this role will act as a technical lead for a small team of near- and off-shore resources designing campaigns within the broad hierarchy of LendingClub’s product suite, creating those campaigns within SFMC, following clear and observable standards, and overseeing the seamless deployment and monitoring of said campaigns across various digital properties.

What You'll Do

Architect, design, and implement (multi-channel) campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, especially using the Journey Builder and Interaction Studio tools, targeting email delivery, web, and mobile channels.

Act as the technical lead for marketing initiatives, communicating status, and execution progress with stakeholders, as well as driving the team’s execution of said initiatives.

Be the point person for all campaigns within the digital program, ensuring successful deployment of initiatives through digital properties, monitoring, and troubleshooting to prevent and resolve any issues that may arise.

Design appropriate monitoring and observability tools to determine the efficacy of campaigns and their delivery. Make sure that appropriate automated alerting is in place to ensure campaigns are effective and without defects.

Collaborate with teams across the organization, including Marketing, Business, Channel Engineering, and Data to coordinate all inputs and outputs of marketing initiatives.

Create and maintain standards of documentation and technical processes that can be driven consistently through each marketing initiative.

Stay up to date with SFMC features, tools, and best practices keeping the organization aligned with the latest and greatest technology.

About You

8+ years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud technologies, especially experience with Journey Builder and Interaction Studio (Personalization).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

Proven track record of managing marketing initiatives in a large-scale organization.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to dig in on technical issues understanding the flow of data and quickly identify and resolve at the point of the problem.

Adept technical and project management skills; able to manage technical initiatives, and the team of resources supporting them.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; combine technical detail with communication to take a broad set of inputs, synthesize them, and communicate out effectively.

We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

CompensationThe target base salary range for this position is 175,000-210,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings), equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation and benefits offered are determined by role, experience level and location.
