Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations to assess students' strengths and areas for improvement, leading to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).Direct Therapy Services: Implement personalized therapy sessions focused on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities, ensuring alignment with educational goals.Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education teams, and parents to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom setting and daily routines. Participate in IEP meetings to offer insights and recommendations.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest practices and advancements in occupational therapy through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.Licensure: Current Occupational Therapist license in California.Experience: Experience in a school setting or working with children is preferred, especially with IEP processes.Skills: Strong foundation in occupational therapy techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.Personal Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting the growth and development of every student.
