The Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) Designer reviews DAS/In-Building RF design and implementation, defines network architecture, completes and presents design packages, plans and supervises RF testing, and directs system acceptance and customer integration activities.
position details/responsibilities...Define appropriate network architecture and equipment for each project.
Lead local jurisdiction technical meetings to establish technical requirements and scopes of work.
Define design and system performance requirements.Create and review designs using engineering tools such as iBwave.Create and transform in building wireless designs to construction applications.Act as resource, providing technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction.Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs.Coordinate with clients, consultants and project personnel.Design code-compliant, contract-compliant and cost-effective systems while reviewing scopes of work, specifications, plans and legal contracts.Manage multiple projects and provide regular status updates and progress reports to customers and management.Prepare and submit testing reports, close-out packages and acceptance documentation. Compile and maintain all project documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.Prepare technical design and testing standards as assigned.Manage contractors/vendors ensuring work is performed in accordance with company's standards.here's what we're looking for...
Must have at least two years' experience with Distributed Antenna system design.
An understanding of the technical aspects of Public Safety Distributed Antenna design.
Expert knowledge of RF principles, electrical theory, and wireless network design.Demonstrated expertise presenting RF designs and performance analysis reports.Demonstrated expertise in cell site integration, performance testing, network optimization and network operations, including the following technologies: CDMA, EVDO, UMTS, HSPA and LTE.Advanced proficiency deploying and commissioning DAS networks based on equipment at least one of the following OEMs Axell, Commscope, Mobile Access, ADRF and Solid.iBwave certification level 1 ( level 2 , 3 is a plus).Familiarity with building, fire and electrical codes is a plus.Demonstrate and uphold all of Power Design's core values, which include integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation and growth.
