As a Lead Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will align with PPG's Operations teams in creating strategies and execution plans in talent attraction, development, retention, and engagement. In this role, you will be responsible for the Liquid and Powder group in Operations. You will supervise a team of HRBPs helping drive Human Capital as well as business efficiencies and enhanced operational practices. You will report to the Senior HRBP, Operations and will play an important role across PPG by providing program leadership on HR-wide talent projects to drive business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership and guidance to HRBPs, site leaders, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.Act as strategic partner and trusted advisor to the business leadership, participate in the regional leadership teams and connect and align with the Global functions to deliver improved talent quality (i.e., bench strength, focused assessment and development, career and succession planning, diversity).Translate the functional and corporate strategies into the HR agenda, enabled by data and analytics.Ensure regional execution of HR strategy/initiatives, challenging to balance local business and program needs, while understanding and communicating a ONE PPG message.Collaborate with HR Leaders to plan, improve, and flawlessly execute annual talent processes (e.g., annual talent assessment, rewards, and executive succession and talent planning processes).The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent and will support diversity and inclusion initiatives to drive awareness and accountability and customize strategies where needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree in an HR-related field preferred.8+ years of Human Resources experience; High level of expertise in specialist areas including organizational development and design, recruitment, talent development, compensation and benefits, along with employee and labor relations in a union setting.Proven leader in both union and non-union settings. Experienced involvement in labor contract negotiation, arbitration and grievance support and management is necessary.Proven executive presence and the ability to influence and facilitate group settings at all levels of the organization.PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
