State Department Federal Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Information Security! In this key leadership role, you'll spearhead all things security-building and guiding a talented team, shaping cutting-edge policies, and collaborating closely with our Chief Risk Officer to create a robust information security program. From hiring and training to incident response and risk mitigation, you'll be at the forefront of keeping SDFCU's data safe. Required Skills and Competencies:
1. Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
3. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
1. Experience in the financial services industry, particularly within credit unions.
2. Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GLBA, PCI-DSS, and NCUA guidelines.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing security incidents and implementing security improvements.
