A well-established law firm is seeking a Mid-level Corporate Associate Attorney to join its Business Department in Newark, NJ. This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney to take a senior role in sophisticated corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and venture capital deals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience working on complex corporate matters in a collaborative and inclusive legal environment.Location:
Newark, NJDuties:Manage and lead corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, and joint ventures.Draft and negotiate key transaction agreements, ensuring high-quality legal representation.Supervise junior associates, providing guidance and oversight in corporate transactional matters.Advise public and private companies on securities law matters, including capital-raising transactions and regulatory compliance (preferred but not required).Collaborate closely with clients and senior partners to provide creative and strategic legal solutions.Requirements:4-6 years of experience handling mergers, acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, and joint venture transactions.Proven ability to take on a senior role in managing deals, drafting agreements, and leading negotiations.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced legal environment.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.Skills:Expertise in corporate law, including mergers, acquisitions, venture capital, and private equity.Strong leadership and management skills, particularly in supervising junior associates.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities.Knowledge of securities law and capital-raising transactions is a plus.Compensation:
Competitive salary range between $220,000 and $245,000 annually, with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
