We are currently recruiting for a Buyer in the Purchasing Department.
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with any ERP system, computer skills and prior experience in purchasing are a must. As a Buyer in the purchasing department, this position will be responsible for the movement and control of inventory by utilizing an ERP system to satisfy customer requirements and prevent stock-outs. Buyers work directly with branch managers via ERP system, email, and/or phone to fulfill inventory requirements at their assigned branches. As a representative of Keeling Company, you will be expected to be respectful to coworkers, vendors, and customers, acting in accordance with our company's standard of exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions:Be a reliable single point of contact for your assigned storesAnalyze branch inventory requirements by reviewing suggested purchase ordersMonitor purchase orders and communicate with vendors to ensure on-time deliveryEnforce cost-saving measuresMonitor and work to eliminate slow-moving or obsolete inventoryCollaborate with other departments to improve end-to-end supply chainHelp resolve A/P discrepancies as necessaryPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications
Education/Certifications/Skills/Abilities:
High school Diploma/GEDPrior purchasing experience preferredFamiliarity with any ERP system; computer skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsOrganized and Detail OrientedTeam PlayerSelf-MotivatedWhat Keeling Company offers our team members:
