The Communications Coordinator will work to expand targeted outreach efforts and promote evidence-based screening practices. The incumbent will provide support and leadership to collaboratively promote population-based quality screening, and appropriate follow-up for breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer, as well as promote prevention of cervical, skin, lung, and tobacco-related cancers using targeted communications and outreach for several large statewide programs including the Louisiana Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, the Louisiana Breast and Cervical Health Program, Louisiana Healthy Community Coalitions, and colorectal cancer initiatives. He/she will support offices at LSUHSC -NO including governmental affairs, Foundation, and communications in providing information on LCP to LSUHSC -NO stakeholders and donors.Work with LCP staff to strategize and expand social media presence.Minimum Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Communications, Marketing, Advertising or related field.Experience:

Minimum of three years of professional level experience. Experience in social media required.A Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Communications, Marketing, or Advertising may be substituted for 1 year of the required experience.Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education:

Master's degree in Public Health, Health Communications, Marketing, Advertising or related field.Preferred Experience:

Experience in creating and producing a wide variety of communications, from traditional print media efforts to digital communications. Experience in project management. Experience in working with a variety of populations, including underserved ones.Application Information
