As the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Human Resources (HR) Operations, you'll be reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer. Your mission is to evolve the strategic foundation of HR operations by enhancing efficiency across payroll processes, leveraging modern HR technologies, harnessing the power of HR analytics, and refining employee experience and HR operational governance. Actioning as a motivational leader, you'll inspire your teams to generate innovative ideas, deliver consistently exceptional employee experiences, and support key business and people strategies. As the AVP, HR Operations you will create a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose HR shared service delivery model that sets the standard for excellence.

As the AVP, HR Operations you will create a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose HR shared service delivery model that sets the standard for excellence.
How you will create impact:
- Developing and implementing strategies, system enhancements, and improved business processes and workflows, to ensure the most efficient, cost-effective shared service delivery model for HR and payroll operations. Including refining a tiered HR operations specialized services operational model.
- Implementing best practices in payroll operations, including automation and integration with other HR systems.
- Providing thought leadership on HR technology roadmap, automation, artificial intelligence, analytics and employee experience.
- Overseeing the implementation of additional ServiceNow modules to support operational effectiveness.
- Defining strategy, structure and best practices to maximize the value of HR data analytics through descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics that inform business decisions.
- Maintaining an advanced level of understanding of HR operations, payroll and shared services industry standards, best practices, innovations, vendor providers, and market/competitor intelligence.
- Instilling a customer-centric approach through evaluation and maintenance of client service standards and establishment and monitoring of benchmarks.
- Providing guidance on the development and implementation of HR governance, guidelines and procedures.
- Leading and engaging your team to deliver strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing emerging talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, and agile culture.

To join our team:
- You have 8+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations, Payroll, HR Insights, HR Technology or a related field.
- You have a post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Having a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation is an asset. Having a Payroll designation(s) is an asset.
- You have experience developing or contributing to HR strategies, managing HR operational changes, and collaborating to achieve optimal business objectives.
- You have contributed to developing and implementing technology, analytics and/or HR operations processes and workflows. Having experience with ServiceFirst is an asset.
- You have a solid understanding of HR operational and payroll quality control standards and measures, HR and Payroll legislation, and HR technology and/or analytics.
- You are an experienced people leader, well-skilled in leading teams to solve complex problems and operate innovatively in an engaged collaborative environment.
What you need to know:
- You will travel occasionally.
- As a leader, strict confidentiality is required with respect to sensitive matters and employees' personal information.
- This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
