Kenney Jenks is seeking a motivated Wastewater Process Engineer to join our growing Wastewater Infrastructure team in Southern California. This role can be based out of any of our Southern California locations including Irvine, Murrieta, Oxnard, Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga or San Diego although supporting projects potentially company wide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Function as the technical expert focusing on wastewater process projects across California and the organization.
  • Apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis for solution development, effectively communicate with all stakeholders and levels, and will support projects focused on wastewater process.
  • collaborate with senior engineers and project leads to assist in engineering projects related to wastewater treatment, including system design, upgrades and expansions.
  • Support detailed design and project management of small to large civil infrastructure projects including, but not limited to, wastewater, sanitary sewer collection systems, pump stations and wastewater treatment processes and plants.
  • Process Design and optimization; participate in design and optimization of wastewater treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems, to improve efficiency and minimize environmental impact
  • Act as Assistant to Project leaders where needed
  • Client and stakeholder communication; collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to provide project updates, compliance status and other relevant information

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years relevant experience
  • BS or MS in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering, MS preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or working toward Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Understanding of wastewater process experience, regulations and technology
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and interact positively with clients
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Some travel within Southern California to project sites, for client visits/meetings and to other Kennedy Jenks offices will be necessary

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $112,000 to $166,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
