Description
Our law firm is looking for the next associate attorney to assist in providing legal counsel to clients. You will work closely with our senior partners, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files.
Our practice areas include primarily Estates, Wills & Trust Litigation, Estate Planning, and Conservatorships. The ideal candidate will prepare pleadings and discovery in our practice areas through completion. This individual will build client relationships and provide work for clients that are above other firms' bar. We strive to provide exemplary legal services, tailored to each client's individual needs. We work to achieve this goal with respect and professionalism shown to clients and to each other every day. Each Attorney is expected to align themselves with this common goal.
Responsibilities
• Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
• Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently
• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys
Qualifications
• Licensed to practice law in the State of California
• Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
• Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
• Successful completion of the bar exam
• Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
