Preferred Hospitality Inc is currently seeking an energetic and knowledgeable Human Resources professional to work in collaboration with the HR team. The HR Manager is responsible for providing overall HR guidance and support to field managers. Responsibilities include
  • Manage on-boarding process and new hire orientation.
  • Respond to a wide variety of employee benefits questions and facilitate open enrollment.
  • Manage leaves of absence, absenteeism and oversee meal breaks.
  • Handle Employee Relations matters under the guidance and mentorship of the Human Resources Director.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, interpretation and maintenance of human resources policies across the organization, including training programs to educate and promote awareness of regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements;
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare periodic reports with pertinent data for management.
  • Drive recruiting and talent acquisition.
  • Maintain and report on workplace health and safety compliance - manage work comp claims under a self insured group.
  • Oversee on-sight HR support staff.
  • Other duties and projects as initiated through the leadership team.


Requirements

The Qualified Candidate:
  • 3 to 5 years' experience working in Human Resources as a Generalist with direct supervisory
  • experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite and Slack.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of US/CA Labor Laws.
  • Demonstrated command of HR technology i.e. web based HR Information and payroll systems. Paylocity preferred.
  • Experience working with multiple benefit plans.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, strategic planning, organizational and influencing skills.
  • Must be a team player with a proactive, amicable, personable attitude and demeanor.
  • Must have a high tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty with the ability to respond to quickly to changing demands and priorities, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
