Team Profile:

The Cyber, Data, Risk and Resilience (CDRR) organization within Technology at Morgan Stanley, provides first-line defenses for information and cyber security, fraud, resilience, response and recovery, and technology risk and controls. The organization also includes Morgan Stanley's Firmwide Data Office, International Technology offices, and the Non-Financial Risk Technology organization. The combination of these groups, in close partnership with the business and technology teams, enhance the resilience of the Firm, address the complex and continuously evolving threat environment, drive compliance with policy and regulatory requirements, and ensure data governance, quality and security.

Position Description:

Description of team

Authentication & Identity Management is part of Identity & Access Management in Cybersecurity. Our team has over 100 members in more than 10 squads across New York, Alpharetta, Montreal, London, Glasgow, Budapest, and Bangalore.

We design, build, and operate critical security infrastructure to secure the whole firm, including the 100,000+ members of our global workforce - with applications in our own datacenters and on public cloud providers - and platforms with millions of clients, from individual investors to the largest companies in the world, across Morgan Stanley Online, Morgan Stanley at Work, Matrix, and E*TRADE.

Responsibilitie

We are hiring for a Senior Identity and Reliability Engineering Specialist with responsibility for identity lifecycle management and directory services. This includes products managing hundreds of thousands of accounts and billions of requests per day.
• Build, maintain, and optimize global company identity services, assessing system performance and offering suggestions and contributing to solution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate identity solutions across the organization
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practice
• Resolve issues escalated by customers and engineering specialist
• Provide support and guidance to stakeholders at the senior-most support level
• Align IT IAM infrastructure with current and future business requirements and strategic goal
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system architecture and resilience
• Drive initiatives to enhance system security, reliability, availability, and performance, leveraging new and emerging process automation opportunities to improve organization effectiveness and efficiencies.
• Partnering with system owners, certify business continuity and disaster recovery efforts of our IAM system

This position will require participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation several times per quarter as part of a rotation with other members of the global team.

Qualifications:

Required skill
• 5+ years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

We are looking for familiarity with parts of our product portfolio including:
• Ping Identity Ping Directory Server/ ForgeRock DS
• ForgeRock IDM, Microsoft Entra ID
• Standards-based protocols like LDAP and SCIM

And experience with:
• Encryption-in-transit solutions (TLS, certificate management)
• Unix / Linux systems administration (RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS)
• Infrastructure as Code pipelines (Git, Jenkins)
• Automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform)
