Job requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the accounts payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
  • Negotiate payment terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate records for all procurement and accounts payable activities.
  • Implement best practices in accounts payable processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Train company on proper AP Controls and Processes
    • Proactively Manage Vendor Onboarding
    • Manage the Global Vendor Master List in NetSuite - edit as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to procurement and accounts payable.
  • Collaborate with Global Controllers and accounting teams to assist with month-end expense accruals and correct GL account coding.
  • Manage new vendor requests and vendor onboarding in Coupa.
  • Manage POs & Purchasing requests in Coupa.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee all Travel Control functions including but not limited to;
    • Corporate American Express card program
    • Corporate Travel Portal
    • Review Employee T&E submissions as needed
  • Update/Maintain the Global Corporate Travel Policy.
  • Issue annual 1099s to all qualifying vendors.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or relevant discipline(s).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Proven experience in managing corporate travel processes and corporate credit card programs.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and best practices in the field.
    • Applying Accounts Payable SOX Controls a plus
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Accounts Payable's impact on the accounting process.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of accounts payable, accounting and procurement software, preferably,
    • Coupa
    • Corpay/Invoice Pay (third party AP payment vendor)
    • Egencia Travel
    • NetSuite
    • Integration software, i.e., Boomi
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
