POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plant Controller position is responsible for providing Financial and Cost Accounting leadership in support of Plant management's goals and objectives; timely and accurate Financial and Managerial reporting in support of both Corporate and Plant management requirements; ensuring that Plant Operations are complying with all applicable Corporate policies and procedures as well as helping to ensure an effective system of Internal Controls; recommending improvements to existing systems, processes, and procedures; and implementing and coordinating projects involving changes to all facets of the Plant's Financial reporting systems. This position will provide direct supervision to the West Plant Sr. Accounting Assistant.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Engage in activities to support increasing the Company's growth in sales and profitability.
- Oversee all aspects of Financial Inventory reporting and Cost Analysis including, but not limited to financial valuation; analysis of process improvements and cost reduction programs; off-site tracking; working with others to implement corrective actions; and improve Inventory accuracy and reduce overall costs of production in the Plant's operations.
- Ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures and determines that appropriate financial/internal controls are in place and operating as intended.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Plant's financial reporting and transaction processing including accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide financial leadership and education to Plant management.
- Lead the Plant's preparation of the annual Budget and quarterly Operating Target. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of related materials submitted to Corporate.
- Evaluate major expenditures for appropriate and measureable return on investment in conjunction with Plant management.
- Initiate and manage Process Improvement projects.
- Develop area Focuses and Objectives and manages area to achieve them.
- Interact regularly with all levels in the Accounting, Manufacturing, and Treasury departments as well as with other senior levels of management.
- Provide associates with direction and supervision.
- Provide associates coaching, training, and growth and development opportunities.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
- Ability to work and interact well with others.
