StandardPurpose of Role:Defines strategic objectives for SBX cosmetics and defines focus categories through new product innovation as well as commercial innovation. Both NPL and commercial innovation support must ladder up to the brand's objectives and aligns with the sub-category strategy.Develop and foster a strong year rolling calendar and 3-year strategic plan, keeping with the overall global category and brand objectives, to grow sales and profitability. Responsible for creating product plans and successfully executing on defined objectives to consistently deliver successful products and programs on time and on budget. Manage, train, and develop the marketing expertise of direct reports.Scope of Role:Collaborate closely with PD, Commercial, Digital Marketing, GBVC, Creative and Packaging, as well as corporate partners in ELC including legal, and finance.Key Responsibilities:Lead product strategy and ensure alignment with subcategory strategy for the brand in order to win profitable market share on makeup particularly at Ulta. Ensure NPL development within strategic growth areas, and within sub-category and COGS targets. Work with ED Global Marketing to ensure annual A&P budgets support NPL and commercial innovation areas of focus.Lead product concept ideation that is unique (POD), disruptive and highly relevant for our consumer, as well as profitable, by having an outstanding understanding of our consumer profile, the retailer and market landscapes and the COGs components.Lead the GTM plans and strategy and drive cross-functional inputs to execute a cohesive, impactful and flawlessly executed plan that brings the product to life in a disruptive manner, by working in tight collaboration with the Digital Marketing, Creative and Commercial teams to build best in class and cost-effective campaigns.Responsible for assigned segment performance and product opportunities and serves as the source for all segment related information. Constantly monitors the performance of SBX versus the competition to identify product need gaps and opportunities; develops and executes action plans to improve brand performance.Creates forums for program/product development to ensure they meet SBX strategic and financial objectives for specified segments. Collaborates with Product Development to create breakthroughs in product innovation.Directs preparation of all paperwork necessary to get projects into the system.Provides direction and spearheads the development of launches and support programs with all necessary support groups on assigned projects (including Product Development, Packaging, Packaging Design, Creative, Legal, Business Planning, GBSC, Education, Digital and Commercial Marketing) to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.Lead annual line edit review process in partnership with Finance and Commercial.Prepares and presents marketing plans to Regions and affiliates, i.e. Sales Meetings, Regional Roundtables, Retailer market meetings, etc.Preparation of materials for global segment reviews and brand strategy meetings.Leads all consumer insights work (co-creations, concept testing, ad testing, to all programs. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
