Job SummaryAs Marketing Officer, you will design, implement, and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals. You will strive to ensure that the activities of the marketing department directly contribute to the company’s long-term success.

Objectives:As the Marketing Officer and first marketing team member, your mission is to launch the company's marketing strategy.Design, implement, and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals.Ensure that the activities of the marketing department directly contribute to the company’s long-term success.Oversee the company’s digital footprint, community & partners relations, demand generation activities (growth), marketing campaigns, and special events. Excel in product marketing; craft sales narratives, understand the customer journey, lift current go-to-market plans, and evaluate product-market fit for new innovative services.Roles:User acquisition/lead generation – help the company grow by the direct acquisition of actual and potential customers through multiple channels, including search engine marketing (SEM/paid), search engine optimization (SEO/unpaid), social (paid and unpaid), media partnerships, and content advertising.Retention/engagement – get the users already acquired to stay engaged through direct marketing, incentives, and retargeting campaigns.Brand positioning – develop a clear definition of what the company brand is; and position the brand relative to its competitive set based on market traction, customer feedback, and desired differentiation.Creative – translate the brand positioning into reality through advertisements, collateral, and web design.Marketing communications – define the company and executive narratives, working with media and other avenues to raise awareness and understanding.Talent – attract, develop, and retain a talented team that leads the company to high growth through best practices.PR, media, comms – oversee the media outreach effort, secure coverage in top-tier and traditional media, and manage copywriters to produce superior content.Skills:Community management and intelligence.Consumer – 10+ years B2C experience within the financial services area with 5+ years in an executive position.Growth – practical experience growing a user base.Proficiency – SEM, SEO, Content Marketing, Direct Marketing, Social, Partnerships, Mobile, Affiliate, Display, Analytics, Marketing Automation Tools.Develop – experience growing, coaching, and mentoring team members.Qualifications:A minimum of a First Degree.A Professional Qualification will be an added advantage.
