PhD Trapped-ion Quantum Computing Theory Intern
in our
Broomfield ,
CO
location.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply previous experience in research to help develop quantum computers using trapped ions as qubitsResponsible for working in a research environment to analyze quantum computing protocols, such as quantum error correction or quantum algorithmsPresent scientific results at meetings or in publicationsYOU MUST HAVE:
Currently enrolled in a PhD programGraduating after December 2024Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. person (defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status)WE VALUE:
2+ years' experience (PhD inclusive) involving one or more of the following areas: atomic physics, quantum benchmarking, quantum information, quantum computing.Experience performing simulation and modeling to inform experimentsExperience with constructing quantum circuitsExcellent written and oral communication skills, with published results within their field of research
$40 - $45 an hour
