We're searching for an automotive service manager fore our new Volkswagen dealership in the Humble/Kingwood area who is motivated to excel and serious about a true career in this highly competitive industry. As service manager, our customers, and your team, will look to you for guidance, leadership and expertise.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct daily one-on-one client status meetings with each ASM to identify potential service issuesMonitor automotive repair/maintenance to prevent operational delaysWork with service director to set departmental objectivesRecruit, interview and train service staffMaintain daily sales and production records as prescribed by upper managementReview and evaluate service sales performanceStaff technical teams relative to production requirementsRemain current on new products and changes to existing productsMaintain department finances within parameters established by upper managementAssure proper repair-order flow/maximize productivityMonitor/control all warranty activity to ensure compliance with policies and proceduresAdhere to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operationAdminister payroll for service staff in cooperation with payroll department, securing approval from service director and general managerEnforce OSHA requirements, procedures and regulationsConduct performance evaluationsParticipate in operational planningMaintain the facility and equipmentConduct weekly department meetings/attend weekly manager meetingsEducation and/or Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience and commensurate with Fortune 500 companies.

The business was founded by Frank Gillman when the first dealership opened on Milam Street in downtown Houston. Frank's son, Ramsay Gillman, continued and expanded the business his father started with a constant emphasis on customer service and satisfaction.
Now, owned and operated by Ramsay's son Chris Gillman, Team Gillman has dealerships in Houston & Rosenberg representing Acura, Honda, Subaru and Mazda.
