New Berlin Animal Hospital
has an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian to join our AAHA accredited, small animal practice in New Berlin, WI. This position offers a six figure salary plus production, $250k bonus package, paid family leave, 401k match and more.
About the Position
The ideal veterinarian will have surgical skills combined with exceptional communication skills, allowing them to bond with clients and build positive relationships with our incredible leadership and support teams. Attractive clinic hours and flexible scheduling that includes no on-call or afterhours and will allow the incoming veterinarian to build a thriving practice while achieving work/life balance. Team member will work a four day week plus a rotating Saturday.

New Berlin Animal Hospital has been serving the New Berlin, WI area since 1972, and has a long history and a deep commitment to the pets and their families in our community. In addition to wellness care, the hospital offers digital x-rays, dentistry, digital dental x-rays, in-house lab equipment, ultrasound, and EKG. This is a great place to hone your skills or for a new grad to gain a tremendous amount of mentorship from an established and collaborative team who has had AAHA accreditation since 1978.
New Berlin is younger than many Milwaukee, Wisconsin, suburbs, but it has the tight-knit community feel of a place that's much older. Residents enjoy an atmosphere that is almost rural, yet is close to metropolitan conveniences. Different areas of the city provide unique living experiences for all who call New Berlin home. The New Berlin park system, with 845 acres of parks and conservancy areas, includes a wide range of recreational uses for all seasons, including soccer, biking, playgrounds, cross-country skiing, walking, and golfing. Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problemsTreat and dress woundsPerform surgery on animalsTest for and vaccinate against diseasesOperate medical equipment, such as x-ray machinesAdvise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatmentsPrescribe medicationWork closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality careQualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree requiredLicensure in the state/s candidate will be workingAbility to show compassion to both pets and their ownersOutstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasksAbility to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animalStrong fondness and understanding of animalsGood communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of animal behaviorAbility to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
