Paw Prints Animal Hospital , a CareVet partner, has an exciting opportunity to join our growing practice in Topeka, Kansas! This small animal practice is looking for a dynamic full time Veterinarian to be part of a collaborative and tenured team! This position offers six figure salary plus production, a $150k bonus package, paid family leave and schedule flexibility.
About the PositionWe are looking to add a full time DVM to our two doctor small animal practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian looking for a forever home, or new grad looking for mentoring!
About the HospitalPaw Prints Animal Hospital has been proudly serving the greater Topeka area for over 35 years. We provide a variety of services like dentistry, therapeutic laser, digital x-ray and boarding; and our hospital has state of the art Midmark Vet Pro 1000 dental unit, surgical monitors, Canis Major lift tables, and in house IDEXX lab equipment.
About the TeamWe believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care. We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to building strong practice and client and human/animal relationship bonds. All after hours emergencies are referred to a local emergency clinic allowing a great work/life balance for our team.

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problemsTreat and dress woundsPerform surgery on animalsTest for and vaccinate against diseasesOperate medical equipment, such as x-ray machinesAdvise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatmentsPrescribe medicationWork closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality careQualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree requiredLicensure in the state/s candidate will be workingAbility to show compassion to both pets and their ownersOutstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasksAbility to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animalStrong fondness and understanding of animalsGood communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of animal behaviorAbility to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
