The Paralegal will be responsible for providing support to the attorneys in the Legal group primarily with respect to Hamilton Lane investment funds and separately managed accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist attorneys with various matters, including fund documents, regulatory filings and corporate resolutionsPrepare formation and governing documentation for new entitiesCommunicate with clients and fund investors, outside counsel and Hamilton Lane's business units regarding status and timing of closingsPost-closing organization and management of transaction documentsServe as point of contact to provide transaction and other legal documents to other departments in Hamilton Lane and outside service providersAssist business personnel with research and data gathering projects in support of client and prospect presentationsMaintain corporate records of Hamilton Lane fund entitiesPrepare and maintain electronic files of closing documents for Hamilton Lane fundsPrepare filings and maintain registrations of Hamilton Lane companies in foreign countriesSpecial projects as requiredNECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS; Education and/or Experience:

Paralegal training (certificate) and minimum two years work experience in a legal environment, preferably a corporate department of a reputable law firm or in-house legal department. BA/BS and/or private equity experience a plus.Ability to review and draft legal documentation and to identify certain issues independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExtremely detail-oriented and organizedProficient in MS office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe ProAbility to interface effectively with clients, peers and counterpartiesAbility to simultaneously manage many assignments and quickly shift focus from one project to another as circumstances dictateAbility to work effectively and independently in a demanding, fast-paced environmentMust be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
