MAIN FUNCTION: As a Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of all pharmacy activities within our organization. You will ensure that pharmacy operations adhere to regulatory standards, maintain high-quality service delivery, and optimize workflow processes. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including pharmacists, technicians, and administrative staff, is essential to ensure seamless operations. Your role will involve strategic planning, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
• Supervise day-to-day pharmacy operations, including dispensing, inventory management, and customer service.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Monitor workflow efficiency and make adjustments to optimize productivity while ensuring accuracy and safety in medication dispensing.
• Recruit, train, and mentor pharmacy personnel, including pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.
• Schedule shifts effectively to ensure adequate staffing levels and coverage during peak hours.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to support staff development and goal attainment.
• Develop and implement quality assurance programs to monitor medication dispensing accuracy, product quality, and customer service standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, such as HIPAA and FDA regulations.
• Oversee inventory procurement, storage, and distribution processes to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste and expiry.
• Utilize inventory management software to track product usage, monitor expiration dates, and streamline reordering processes.
• Foster a customer-centric culture by promoting excellence in service delivery and resolving customer complaints or concerns in a timely manner.
• Implement strategies to enhance patient engagement, medication counseling, and adherence support services.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field; PharmD preferred. Valid pharmacist license.
EXPERIENCE: Proven experience in pharmacy management or leadership role, preferably in a retail or hospital setting. Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, including dispensing procedures, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
