We are currently seeking a
Primary Care Physician
to work at our Jackson Heights, NY location.
Position Summary:
The Primary Care Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to a panel of patients on a continuing basis, including but not limited to: Evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions for adults. Advising patients on treatment recommendation, lifestyle modifications and age-appropriate preventive screenings. Ordering and analyzing necessary diagnostic tests using high-value care principles and EBM to inform clinical decision making. Prescribing appropriate treatments and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensure. Referring patients to consultant services when necessary. Engage in health promotion activities and recruitment efforts for the site
Qualifications:
The PCP must have an MD or DO degree & board eligible/certified. They must have the following: Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in internal medicine or family medicine; BC/BE in specialty; Current and valid NYS license; Current DEA certificate; Updated BLS and infection control certificate; Excellent bedside manner; Proficiency in Spanish or an South east Asian language is preferred; Working knowledge of primary HIV medical care and LGBTQI care is a plus
