My client, a chemical manufacturing company in the north suburbs of Atlanta, GA is seeking a Commodity Manager to oversee 3-4 chemical categories for North America.
Responsibilities:
Manage the raw materials spend (petrochemical, saturated paper, non-wovens) spend for the AmericasWork cross-functionally with other business unitsLead vendor selection, maintain vendor relationshipsCreate and implement sourcing strategiesLead negotiations and help create and manage contractsConduct market research and ensure competitive pricing with supply partners
The ideal candidate:
Bachelor’s degree is required5+ years of experience sourcing raw materials (prefer chemicals)Proven negotiation skillsExperience with ERP systems – prefer JD EdwardsStrong communication skills
