The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled
Part-Time Medical Physician
to provide recovery oriented transitional housing to people experiencing homelessness on a sprawling campus in Bent County, Colorado. The program combines housing with peer support, and educational, vocational, and employment services for up to 250 people currently or formally experiencing homelessness from across the state. This position is located at 30999 County Road 15, Las Animas, Colorado 81054 and reports to the Associate Medical Director.
Qualified candidates are eligible for the
National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program . Licensed health care providers may
earn funds towards student loans
in exchange for a two-year commitment at an NHSC-approved site through this program.
NOTE:
In order to ensure that our consumers receive the best possible care the candidate chosen to fill this position will be required to complete our internal credentialing and privileging process prior to a start date.
The credentialing and privileging timeline is dependent on the selected candidate's submission of documents necessary for clearance.
Please note that a start date will be scheduled once credentialing and privileging is complete.

Essential Job Functions
Work collaboratively with the integrated health care team including; Case Managers and Outreach Staff, Psychiatry, Behavioral Health, and Addiction Medicine Specialists.Three-day schedule, 7AM-5PM (Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday) with scheduled administrative and charting time.Performs 30-minute patient visits.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications Summary
Enthusiasm, passion, and a commitment to social justice.MD or DO licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado.Experience with Women's Health preferred.Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness is a plus.Brings positive energy and breathes the spirit of Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and Trauma-Informed Care with patients.
$212,591 - $228,544 a year
