Responsibilities

The Department of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking applications for a faculty radiation oncologist with a career interest and expertise in hematologic malignancies. The successful applicant will join a faculty of 40 radiation oncologists in Minnesota and partner with 6 hematologic radiation oncologists across the enterprise to advance care for patients with hematologic malignancies. The hematology, nuclear medicine, dermatology, and hematologic pathology departments are home to world-renowned experts and Mayo Clinic has a rich history at the forefront of scientific advancement for hematologic malignancies.

The Mayo Clinic Department of Radiation Oncology in Rochester, Minnesota is a destination center for innovation and excellence in complex patient care. The department is home to a diverse array of treatment modalities including next generation accelerators and construction is underway on a second proton therapy center. The department has fully accredited residency programs in radiation oncology and medical physics. Research is supported by both an in-house infrastructure of 12 research personnel in addition to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, an NCI designated cancer center that receives over $100 million in competitive peer-review grants annually. This robust infrastructure supports investigator-initiated trials, cooperative group leadership, and translational research.

Both current practicing radiation oncologists and graduating residents are encouraged to apply. The position includes an academic appointment with the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic. The compensation package is highly competitive and includes exceptional benefits.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota.
