THE RIVER'S EDGE STORY

River's Edge Pharmacy started in Rancho Mirage, CA in 2008 to address the need for compassionate care by specialty pharmacies. In 2013, the Company moved to a larger facility in Palm Desert, CA.

The successful execution of River's Edge Pharmacy's growth strategy led to the opening of a total of nine infusion locations and two pharmacies in California.

Since the expansion, River's Edge Pharmacy has become the specialty pharmacy and infusion service provider of choice for patients and physicians seeking exceptional expertise, human kindness, and professional guidance.

Position Overview:The Controller is a vital leadership role tasked with managing the financial health of the company. This role oversees the corporate accounting, disbursement, and accounts receivable departments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial management. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller plays a key role in internal controls, financial reporting, cash flow management, and supporting the company's strategic financial objectives.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Compliance:Provide timely and accurate financial management reports, including internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and budgets.Cash Flow Management:Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.Establish and maintain systems to verify the integrity of financial processes and data.Operational Support:Oversee daily operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.Oversee bookkeeping staffParticipate in special projects, compiling reports to support strategic initiatives.Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making.Communication and Compliance:Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring courteous and professional interactions.Adhere to all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.Respond promptly to the CFO's requests to meet financial needs.Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BS) required.Experience:

Minimum of 5-6 years of progressive accounting experience.At least 5 years in a management role overseeing accounting functions.At least 3 years Controller experienceTypes of Skills/Licenses or Certificates:

CPA certification preferred.Strong understanding of accounting matching principles, and cost accounting.Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Supervision and Management Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the corporate accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely dissemination of financial reports.Supervise the disbursement department, ensuring accurate processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, payroll, and tax compliance.Oversee accounts receivable operations, including the management of aging components, billings, cash receipts, and funding services.Working Conditions:

Standard office environment.Occasional travel within Southern California may be required.Full-time position with standard business hours; flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods is expected.
