Collecting and consolidating financial dataSupervising accounting and finance departmentsCreating strategic plans for financial operationsPreparing financial statements, both internal and externalEnsuring compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulationsCoordinating external auditor activityProviding company leaders with insights for decision-making purposesManaging budgeting and forecasting processesCoordinate procurement activitiesEstablish and maintain financial controlsAssess and improve accounting proceduresEvaluate and select accounting software solutionsIdentify, develop, and monitor KPIsManage regulatory reportingScreen, hire, train, and retain accounting department employeesDesired Qualifications
10+ years of accounting and finance experienceBachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experiencePrevious oversight of Washington State Department of Transportation annual Indirect Cost Rate reporting and approvalFamiliarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Familiarity with federal and state Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirementsExperience with Deltek Vantagepoint and advanced Excel skillsPrevious mentorship and team management experience
