GSEMA is in the midst of shifting how we deliver Human Resources services and offer support to our organization. Leading with a commitment to fostering greater diversity, inclusion, equity, transparency and collaboration, and reporting to the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Racial Justice (DEI R/J) & Talent Management will play a pivotal role in enhancing our DEI/RJ and Talent Management efforts. This role will partner with the CHRO, the HR team and other leaders to achieve this goal. This role will be instrumental in building and enhancing processes and practices for the employee experience, GSEMA's operational practices, and our broad community of members and volunteers while supporting GSEMA's mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. This role will also lead employee professional development initiatives to develop proactive strategies for talent management and trainings.

Explore the Key Responsibilities

DEI/RJ

Partners with CHRO and other senior leaders to consider GSEMA's policies, practices and procedures with a DEI/RJ and anti-racist lens; make and support recommendations for improvementsPartners with CHRO to lead and advance initiatives ensuring equity across GSEMAPartners with Human Resources Generalist to build and source a more diverse talent pipeline and targeted recruiting effortsSupports GSEMA's Community Engagement and Membership efforts to build a more diverse Girl Scouts communityLeads the internal DEI/RJ DISC Committee; engaging staff on internal initiatives focused on DEI/RJServe on and support the GSEMA Board DEI/RJ CommitteeTalent Management and Training

Partners with CHRO and HR team to foster and develop proactive talent management strategy and ongoing initiatives for professional growth and developmentDevelops and delivers DEI/RJ training programs across GSEMA, including at summer campsSupports ongoing professional development opportunities for all staffContinues to develop ongoing succession planning efforts across GSEMASupports leaders in professional management development activitiesEssential Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree or related experience in human resources, organizational development, psychology, learning and development, or related fieldMinimum of four (4) years of experience supporting/leading DEI/RJ initiatives, workshops and programsMinimum of three (3) years of experience supporting/leading talent managementExcellent interpersonal skills including a high level of emotional intelligence, the ability to exercise discretion dealing with confidential and sensitive information, and comfortable leading difficult conversationsProven success collaborating effectively with a wide range of individuals in developing and executing DEI/RJ initiativesDemonstrated excellence in effective communication (verbal, written, listening skills), presentations and customer service for a wide variety of audiencesCapacity to, independently and as part of a team, plan, organize and prioritize work, while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBilingual skills are highly desirableTravel Requirements:

Must have access to reliable transportation to travel to GSEMA offices/service centers and across the Council's service area as needed.
