MHA seeks an enthusiastic, career minded, self-motivated individual to serve as the Property Manager for an affordable housing community. This job is perfect for a hard-working and professional team player motivated by setting and upholding standards to make their property stand out from the rest.
Primary Responsibilities
Initiate and manage core business processes, including leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance, budgeting, rent collection, recertification, vendor relations, selection and recruitment, and team development.Approve lease applicants for properties without a centralized admission function.Move in new residents, to include lease preparation and signing, unit inspection, and processing of required records; Perform quality leasing interview, stressing lease obligations, neighborhood services and resident participation opportunities.Conduct annual tenant reexaminations; Process interim changes in tenant income and family composition and required documents for administration of amendments.Collect damage charges; Arbitrate disputes and recommend waiver of charges if in error; Advise residents on avoidance of future charges.Qualifications/Requirements
A four-year degree in public or business administration, social science or a related field3+ years of experience in multi-family housing managementDirect supervisory/management experienceAbility to communicate fluentlyComputer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and WordStrong work ethic and willingness to learnValid Georgia driver's license, proof of personal auto insurance, and acceptable driving recordDesired Skills
Keen attention to detailAbility to work and communicate effectively with special needs populations and individuals from diverse backgroundsLow-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) and HOME programming experienceYardi experienceProfessional communication with vendors, residents, and coworkersFlexible to change and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentProfessional personal appearanceAvailable 24/7 to respond to emergency situations; available to work weekends as required
Salary
Starting range based on experience: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
