JOB SUMMARY

The Vascular Surgeon provides direct clinical treatment services to patients on an outpatient basis, ensuring that patients receive the treatment necessary to treat their emergency medical complaint.

Responsibilities:

-Works constructively and collaboratively with other health professionals.-Focuses on attaining high standards of healthcare in Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery.-Duties may include patient care, instructing, monitoring, and advising other health care professionals, as appropriate.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a General Surgery-trained Vascular Surgeon to join Cape Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery! Enjoy access and collaboration through a full-range Cardiovascular Services line that includes Cardiothoracic Surgery, Electrophysiology, Echo Cardiology, Interventionalists, Invasive, and Non-Invasive Cardiologists.

Join a dynamic group of 1 dedicated Vascular Surgeon and 2 APPs.

Work Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm, 1 day in clinic, 4 days in proceduresAverage of 15- 20 patients per day in outpatient clinic; 160-200 patients per month in outpatient clinicProcedures performed in OR, Cath lab, Hybrid suite, and Vascular CenterCall is 1:3

Certification & Licensures:

-Medical license in the State of Missouri, Basic Life Support (BLS).

-Must also maintain a Controlled Substance license for the State of Missouri and Federal DEA.

-Must have successfully completed, an accredited residency and/or fellowship program.

-Must maintain active medical privileges and medical memberships.

-Must be Board Certified within 2 years of hire date.

Experience:

-Competent in delivery of healthcare services for ages 0 to 120 years.

-Age specific competency is measured by a variety of methods, which may include, but not be limited to, self-learning packets, review of age specific guidelines, direct observation, video, simulation, unit-based class, policies and procedures, or chart review.
