Recruitment/Posting Title Ophthalmologist Department NJMS-Ophthalmology Salary Commensurate With Experience Posting Summary The Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School invites applications for a General Ophthalmologist (multiple positions) to assist with clinical general eye clinics for a portion of the week. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience. We seek individuals with strong clinical expertise, commitment to resident education, and commitment to the development of a nationally recognized program in clinical and/or translational research. The Institute is a highly productive clinical and academic enterprise with 75% of faculty members at or above the AUPO 75th percentile of clinical productivity. The Institute maintains a fully accredited, outstanding residency training program, has a catchment area that includes New Jersey, and serves a level 1 trauma center (University Hospital). Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply.
