Responsibilities for Global ControllerLead a team of managers and Accountants/SpecialistsDevelop an effective "business partner" relationship with the Global Accounting and Compliance Manager and Finance Managers in Europe and AsiaMentor a highly capable accounting team through the ongoing attraction, development, and retention of skilled financial professionals. Review department staff capabilities and recommend improvements and development plansReview bank account reconciliations and general ledger reconciliationsOversee timely and effective U.S. and international employee payroll payment process, including Workday Payroll, finance and banking systems integration, wire transfers and check generationOversee timely and effective vendor and expense payment processing through Chrome RiverOversee wire and ACH transfers ensuring bank account paperwork, including authorized signers, is currentAnalyze financial information, including revenue, expense, net income, headcount, etc., for US offices provided by the Global Financial Reporting TeamPrepare and review the annual budget for US and international offices, including operating expense budget and collaborating with others to estimate headcount and capital expendituresQualifications for Global Controller:
10+ years in a similar senior role at a law firm or professional services firm. CPA RequiredBroad financial experience, including exposure to domestic and international accounting, financial analysis, and systems issuesExperience in implementing procedural improvements, internal controls, and financial practice management systems enhancementsStrong accounting/finance skills and academic credentialsDemonstrated broad experience across major finance disciplines, including accounting, finance and practice management systemsConfident, proactive individual who uses reasoned fact-based arguments to anticipate and overcome objections and who is unflappable in challenging, complex situationsA demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, consensus-driven, partnership environment with highly skilled professionals
