Description

Artemis Fine Art Services has an exciting position available for an Over The Road CDL Class A Drivers. The essential duties of this role are to work on all aspects of residential removals, collections, deliveries and installations of furniture, personal effects, art and antiques under the management of immediate supervisor. We are looking for experienced long haul drivers with trailer driving experience, art handling experience is a bonus.

Two years of experience in residential moving and art handling industry; packing, handling and installing art, furniture and antiquities on a local and interstate basis

(e.g. Interstate Driver, Trailer Driver, OTR Driver experience is applicable for this position)A knowledge of proper handling using the appropriate materials and methods for packaging, loading and securing for safe transportFamiliarity with paperwork; Bills of Lading, Condition Reports, Inventory, Drivers Logs, etc.Must be able to lift 60lbsAbility to thrive in a busy environmentExperience driving long haul trucks / trailersCDL Class A is requiredExperience in Interstate driving is a plus (OTR)Professional appearance and demeanorKey Responsibilities

Collections and deliveries on a daily basis, locally and interstate as neededHandle and control all paperwork when on site or working in the field, including all condition reporting for goodsEnsure vehicle used is always safe, clean and prepared for the day or trip as required, verify what goods are needed at the start of every day or trip based on the daily trip sheet or trip manifestEnsure all modifications to daily trip manifest are reported and verified the Dispatch Manager prior to making any modificationsProper handling, of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furnitureAssist with installation projectsPreparation of condition checks and condition reports as neededPack artworks, antiquities and fine furniture for transportation and storageAssist in the loading and unloading of trucksEnsure a high degree of detail and focus on every jobGeneralEnsure compliance with all HR policies and procedures, and all other Company policies and procedures in placeAdhere to all Health & Safety policies and proceduresTo act at all times in the best interests of the Company, its customers and its employees

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

High school diploma / GED requiredThree years of experience in moving, packing, handling and installing art, furniture and antiquities on a local and interstate basisThree years of logistical, warehousing and moving experienceExcellent problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with OSHA regulationsExcellent organizational and time management skillsImpeccable communication and multitasking skillsAbility to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reportingTeam player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environmentComfortable in a results-driven workplaceProfessional demeanor at all timesExperience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary logistics equipmentAbility to safely lift 60 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight on a daily basis without damage to object or person, including the ability to push and pull 120 pounds on a dolly or cartAbility to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overheadBenefits
