That is why we can provide the challenges and inspiration to help our people grow professionally and personally.Some of the great benefits we offer are competitive pay, health and wellness benefits, on-the-jobtraining, educational assistance,and advancement opportunities.Job SummaryManage Air Permitting and Compliance for Hawthorne Army Depot:Manage and maintain two Nevada air quality permits (one Class I and one Class II) toensure relevancy and accuracy with current conditions and ongoing compliance.Interact and coordinate with HWAD personnel and regulators regarding air compliancematters.Manage regulatory compliance with permit-required emissions stack testing, continuous emissions monitoring, and inspections. This will include managing subcontractors.Prepare and implement plans and procedures.Prepare appropriate internal and external reports.Provide oversight of internal environmental audits.Manage regulatory mandated recordkeeping.Assist in the management of other HWAD compliance concerns (hazardous waste, water, etc.)Assist in the management of two RCRA Hazardous Waste TSDF permits.Assist in the management of three NPDES wastewater discharge permits.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in engineering, physical sciences, environmental sciences, or related field.Minimum 7 years of environmental management experience.Working knowledge of federal and state environmental laws and regulations.Experienced with obtaining and managing permits.Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Experienced with a computer-based environmental management system.Certified in 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training along with 8-hour refresher training.Able to obtain a "Secret" security clearance.Possess proficient computer skills in the use of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferably have worked on a Department of Defense (DoD) facility.
