Job Description

TITLE: Controller

The Amerimed Controller/Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial operations. This position reports directly to the company CFO. The Controller's responsibilities include the accurate and timely preparation and analyses of all facets of the financial operations of the company, including financial statement preparation, cash management, accounts payable, payroll and other fiscally related duties.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, and payroll)Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, month end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliationResponsible for cash management, including performingwire transfers, ACH payments, and maintaining lines of creditMaintain professional banking relationshipsDetermine internal audit scope and develop annual plansReview payroll taxes and ensure timely payment of payroll and corporate taxes by payroll servicePrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, bank reports, and various detailed analysis reportsMaintain files and comply with record retention requirementsManage team, including hiring and terminationsNegotiate the company's insurance policies annually or as often as fiscally beneficial (physical damage, liability, worker's compensation) and oversee the claims submission process to ensure loss control measures are being adhered toMeet with the various agencies, on an annual basis, that maintain the benefit programs and review costs and benefitsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principalsStrong leadership, management, and organizational skillsStrong analytical and reasoning abilities with superior numeric skillsPossess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal andMust be result and profit oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations and perform multifaceted projectsMust be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently and multi-taskMust be detail orientedAbility to manage and direct employeesAbility to resolve employee conflicts, problems, and complaintsExpert computer skills - proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Access, and OutlookNetSuite accounting software experience a plus

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, combined with a minimum of 5 years experience in Accounting/Finance

MBA or CPA preferred
