Position Summary

The Director of Logistics is a key leadership position that oversees and continually seeks ways to improve performance in operations, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and global distribution networks. Leads development and implementation of training to ensure team members are trained on freight procurement and management best practices. Develop vendor compliance programs and monitor/audit for compliance. The Director will drive positive change by developing new and enhanced current metrics and KPI's, reporting key findings to senior leadership, and leading project implementation from concept to realization. They will provide strategic leadership for the movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods to provide the necessary levels of service to both internal and external customers. Create and implement logistics vendor performance management processes and KPIs. Lead continuous improvement to drive performance improvement that differentiates LNW Gaming to customers in terms of cost and service. Leverage advanced analytical techniques to identify and implement complex logistics network and procurement improvement projects.

Additional Responsibilities:This role requires partnering with leadership across the organization and identifying opportunities for improvements in cost and service levels.Collaborate to develop and implement short/long term North American logistics strategies to support the growth of the organization in a cost-effective manner while improving service and reliability.Research and implement new tools to aid in resolving complex and routine process issues while fostering a culture of continuous improvementEnsuring maximum customer service, order fill rate, on-time shipment, on-time delivery, order accuracy, and optimal performance, balanced with cost and time/flexibility.Define and manage key internal and client-facing metrics and KPIs and define strategies for continuous improvement (cost, on-time delivery, quality, and service levels, etc.).Grow your understanding of the business to better optimize across the entire business in a strategic and meaningful way.Oversee multi-facility warehouse assets, operations and capital in compliance with company's policies and vision, including receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. Continue to centralize routing, improve deliveries (minimizing returns), ensure DOT complianceDevelop and implement best practices for inbound freight to minimize cost and material availability.Qualifications

Eight years of experience in logistics management environmentTwo years of experience managing freight vendors, including truckload and LTL carriersMinimum one year of experience managing complex projects with track record of delivery on time and within budgetMinimum 8 years of technical experienceAdvanced analytical abilities

Physical Requirements:

While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision as well as the ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment. Additionally, situations may require maintenance of products including opening and closing machine doors and lifting equipment such as roulette wheels.
