Must-Have Qualifications:Eight years of experience in logistics management.Proven experience managing freight vendors, including truckload and LTL carriers.Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics software.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced logistics software.Advanced analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.Experience with budget management and cost optimization.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.Plusses:Experience in the gaming or entertainment industry.Advanced degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.Day-to-Day:As the Director of Logistics, you will oversee and manage the entire logistics function, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. You will lead the logistics team, developing and implementing strategies that align with the company's objectives. Your role will involve coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods and services. You will analyze and optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Budget management will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures. Additionally, you will track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of logistics operations and identify areas for improvement. Utilizing logistics software and ERP systems, you will streamline operations and improve data accuracy. Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing mitigation strategies will be crucial to minimizing disruptions. Finally, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and support the company's growth.Additional Responsibilities:Partner with leadership across the organization to identify opportunities for improvements in cost and service levels.Develop and implement short and long-term North American logistics strategies to support the growth of the organization in a cost-effective manner while improving service and reliability.Research and implement new tools to resolve complex and routine process issues while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Ensure maximum customer service, order fill rate, on-time shipment, on-time delivery, order accuracy, and optimal performance, balanced with cost and time/flexibility.Define and manage key internal and client-facing metrics and KPIs, and define strategies for continuous improvement (cost, on-time delivery, quality, and service levels, etc.).Grow your understanding of the business to better optimize across the entire business in a strategic and meaningful way.Oversee multi-facility warehouse assets, operations, and capital in compliance with the company's policies and vision, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. Continue to centralize routing, improve deliveries (minimizing returns), and ensure DOT compliance.Develop and implement best practices for inbound freight to minimize cost and ensure material availability.
