**Senior Tax Attorney**
**Location**
Boston, MA & New Hampshire
**Salary Range**
$200,000 - $400,000
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Attorney with over 20 years of legal expertise to join our esteemed tax practice in our Boston and New Hampshire offices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a portable practice (not necessarily self-sustaining), and a passion for delivering exceptional legal services in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on the tax consequences, risks, and opportunities associated with various business entity structures and activities.
- Address tax controversy matters with proficiency and confidence.
- Engage in complex commercial transactions involving individual, partnership, and corporate tax aspects.
- Structure mergers and acquisitions, business formations, and debt and equity financing transactions.
- Advise clients on employee compensation and benefits plans and draft related memoranda and documents.
- Collaborate with clients across a diverse range of industries to deliver tailored tax solutions.
- Potentially work with affordable housing tax credit issues, sales and use tax, estate planning, and qualified plans, if applicable.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in tax law, with a strong focus on transactional tax matters.
- Proven track record in structuring complex transactions and addressing tax implications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to creatively solve multidimensional problems and lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience with affordable housing tax credit issues, sales and use tax, estate planning, and qualified plans is a plus, but not required.
