Engineering Supervisor
The role of the EngineeringDesign Supervisor is to manage and contribute to staff, workflows, design, details,implement and organize databases and collaborate across Pieper Electric. Generally,design, engineer, layout and collaborate on multiple projects conceptual andawarded. Provide expertise to support operational branches. Superviseengineering staff, outputs and backlog for best-in-class deliverables and yearover year growth and employee engagement.
Engineering Design:
Collaborate with A/E, GC, Owner groups and internal partners to integrate electrical systems into building designs. Design electrical systems including but not limited to: Distribution, lighting, Branch power and lighting, motor controls, arc flash-coordination. Projects examples: Commercial, industrial, Food Service, residential, institutional, and warehousing Calculate loads, select/specify equipment, equipment locations and pathways for best ROI and competitive advantage while complying with all regulations. Projects include design for pre and post bid for: Design Assist, Design Build, Partial project calculations, Assistance with adjustments to Plan Spec. All design contributions for best ROI. Provide design to comply with all regulations and current codes. Manage multiple project designs, project schedules and meetings for best deliverables on schedule. Design and template typical installations for call outs, notes, and elevation views. Examples: grounding, bonding, lighting, electrical branch panels, plan notes cabinet elevations and the like. Maintain accurate records of design meetings, changes,and direction as well as incoming documentation to support the electricaldesign with date stamps. Template, organize and complete electrical specifications. Template folder structure for team usage and all engineering resources. Manage all projects and time entry in Pieper Electric ERP accounting software. Forecast workloads, backlog, and progress for resource allocations. Create and collaborate with teams to update documents, software, SOPs, and workflows for a consistent best practice across Construction Services departments, projects, and teams for harmonious flow. Collaborate with Construction Services Manager to identify constant improvement opportunities and implementation of. Supervise team flow and project status. Review for quality, accuracy, code, and the intent are being met. Assist with future staff planning, education, development plans, reviews and HR items. Assist with developing workflows and implementation with and in collaboration with team. Communicate effectively with team and manage staffbacklog. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, hold a Wisconsin Design or PE certification -OR- 10+ years' experience in electrical engineering and or electrical construction design. 10+ years of utilizing electrical and construction-based design software. Software Proficiency and working knowledge withincluding but not limited to: Bluebeam, Excel, Revit, AutoCAD, smart sheets,Autodesk build, Accubid, Power point, Apple/iPad, Plan Grid, Procore.
