Partners with management and employees to execute HR and talent strategies that enable the accomplishment of business objectives, promote a positive work environment and support our culture and processes.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESServes as the HR business partner in the areas of compensation, employee engagement, employee relations, compliance, metrics, staffing and performance management systems programs for all teammates at the plant.Identifies staff vacancies and collaborates with managers/talent acquisition team for candidate selection and successful onboarding of new teammates.Provide direction, counsel/coaching, and analytics to help leaders make talent decisions and promote employee engagement and positive employee relationsPartners with union bargaining committees to manage labor relations and contract administration.Monitors compliance with all state and federally mandated leaves of absences/accommodation policies and programs (FMLA, USERRA, ADA).Analyzes training needs and drafts salaried and hourly HR-related employee development plans. Develops and facilitates various training programs, including orientation and safety related trainings.Organizes culture-enhancing events.Participate and/or lead projects and special initiatives within and outside the HR function as assignedEDUCATION / EXPERIENCEBachelor degree in related field, particularly Human Resources, is preferredMinimum of 3-5 years experience in Human Resources within manufacturingMinimum of 2 years experience supporting HR in a collectively bargained environment preferredExperience using/exposure to Human Resources Information Systems, particularly Workday, is preferredKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIESWorking knowledge of Human Resources & Safety laws, including Affirmative Action/EEOC requirements, DOL laws, Leave of absences (FMLA, USERRA, ADA) and OSHA.High ethical standardsStrong organizational and planning skills with ability to focus time on the most important and urgent issuesStrong verbal and written communication and listening skills to interact with internal team members and external customersGoal oriented, aggressive self-starter with an entrepreneurial personality who can make strategic decisions with a sense of velocity and urgencyRequires on-site presence to support manufacturing teammatesJob Footer (US) :Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.?
