Interventional Neuroradiologist - Instructor

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of radiology with a focus on interventional neuroradiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible. The successful candidates must have also completed a diagnostic radiology residency, be currently situated in an ACGME neuroradiology fellowship program, and be qualified to apply for clinical attending privileges.

Responsibilities may include interpreting CT and conventional angiograms, endovascular management of cerbrovascular malformations and stroke, and providing consultation to referring physicians. The candidate will also participate in case review series and didactic lectures with residents and neuroradiology fellows.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop research credentials. Instructors are provided research and educational support to prepare them for an academic and/or clinical career. A specialized research focus may be developed in consultation with the Division Chief.

Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center, as well as affiliated outpatient imaging centers located in Pennsylvania.
