Assistant Controller

Our client has an immediate opportunity for an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller is a key member of the finance team responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and providing financial support to the Controller. This role requires a CPA and experience in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including consolidation of financial results.
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required
Manufacturing experience required
Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, JD Edwards, etc.)
