Minnetonka, MNWhat you'll do as a Vice President of Strategic Finance:
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies and planning processes that support the company's business objectives and long-term growth plansLead the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of financial forecasts, scenario planning, and variance analysis to ensure financial targets are metProvide in-depth financial analysis and build financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and performance improvement effortsEstablish and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against strategic goals and provide regular reports to the executive teamCollaborate with senior management, department heads, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business planning and decision-makingIdentify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements, and drive initiatives to enhance profitabilityStay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to provide strategic insights and recommendationsSupport capital allocation decisions, including evaluation of funding strategies and investment opportunitiesIdentify and assess financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure robust risk management practices are in placeEnsure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies to maintain the company's financial integrity, including oversight of tax work and liaising with external tax advisorsWhat you'll bring to the Vice President of Strategic Finance role:
An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or another business-related field8-10+ years of progressive work experience in Financial Operations within the Financial Services industryExceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skillsProficient knowledge of US GAAP, FASB ASCIn-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry best practicesStrategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving positive changeStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of providing strategic financial insightsStrong financial modeling skills, along with an understanding of financial reporting and cash flow informationAbility to recognize and mitigate financial riskExcellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teamsExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholdersSolid computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and working with a large ERP/Financial SystemTake the first step on your new career path!
