We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team on a 12-week contract basis. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the direction of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients in order to help them improve their mobility, reduce pain, and regain function.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing customized treatment plans for patients
- Work with patients to perform exercises and stretches as prescribed by the physical therapist
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and provide feedback to the physical therapist on progress
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of job performance
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Georgia
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience working with patients in a rehabilitation setting is preferred
